Feadship Yachts for Sale
In 1949, two Dutch shipyards, owned
by the De Vries and the Royal Van Lent families, joined to form
Feadship Yachts, which stands for First Export Association of Dutch
Shipbuilders. In the mid-50s, the company’s popularity grew and
each following decade, it saw more growth in the market of pleasure
and luxury yachts for sale. As recognized public figures, such as
business leaders Henry Ford and Malcolm Forbes purchased Feadship
Yachts for sale, the company developed a strong global presence.
The Van Lent shipyard was established
in 1849 and the De Vries Scheepsbouw was founded in 1923. Both yards
consist of 250 skilled craftsmen who produce two complete luxury
motor yachts for sale each year. The De Vries yard, located in the
town of Aaslmeer, has two dry docks and a slipway with the ability
to produce vessels over 260 feet. Located on Kaag Island, the Van
Lent yard has two dry docks and two slipways. It can accommodate
yachts of about 330 feet in length. Feadship Yachts for sale are
constructed in steel and aluminum.
Feadship has created over 200 luxury
yachts with approximately five new yachts being produced yearly.
It all begins in the De Voogt Naval Architects design center in
Haarlem. Established in 1912, the center is staffed by a mix of
permanent and freelance specialists to develop high-quality displacement
motor yachts for sale. The center is involved in all aspects of
engineering and design, including naval architecture, mechanical
engineering, and interior design.
